The most powerful laser on the market: the PicoPlus is considered the gold standard for tattoo removal
For laser tattoo removal, our trained healthcare professionals utilise the most powerful technology available on the market. The PicoPlus laser from Lutronic enables the most efficient tattoo removal, with a focus on your skin health.

We at the tattoo clinic do not perform tattoo removal in just one step, but through the targeted combination of advanced technologies. Using the specialized handpieces of our PicoPlus laser, we apply a unique and highly effective method for tattoo removal.
In the first laser pass, the tattoo pigments are broken down into the smallest particles, allowing the body to process and eliminate the fragmented pigments.
In the second laser pass, we use fractional laser technology. The laser beam is divided into many small microbeams that create precise microchannels in the skin. These microchannels not only promote the healing process but also enable the already fragmented pigments to be broken down into even finer particles. This accelerates the pigment breakdown, leading to significantly faster tattoo removal.
This approach not only maximizes the efficiency of tattoo removal but also contributes to improving the skin’s appearance. It can help reduce visible scarring that may have occurred during the tattooing process.

First, we conduct a detailed consultation with you and discuss any questions you may have. To ensure that there are no contraindications, we will ask you a few health-related questions.
When cannot a tattoo be lasered?
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Metal objects in the treatment area
- High UV exposure in the last 14 days
- Tanning bed use in the last 14 days
- Tanning products applied to the treatment area
- Wounds in the treatment area
Before each laser treatment, we take a photo for documentation purposes. The area to be treated is then cleaned and pre-cooled. If necessary, a numbing cream can be applied before the laser session. In this case, apply the numbing cream to your tattoo 1 hour before your appointment.
To determine the optimal settings for your treatment, we perform test shots at the beginning. The actual laser treatment lasts approximately 10 to 30 minutes, depending on the size of the tattoo. During this time, we continuously cool the skin with our Cryo7 cooling device to alleviate pain and soothe the skin. Depending on your pain tolerance, we take short breaks to ensure your comfort.
After the treatment, the skin is treated with a soothing ointment and covered with a compress for protection. It is advisable to continue cooling the treated tattoo for several hours afterwards.
The next laser session can take place after 6 to 8 weeks.
Our Picosecond Laser PicoPlus from Lutronic removes tattoos as quickly and skin-friendly as possible. On average, 6-10 sessions are required for complete tattoo removal, and approximately 4 sessions for lightening.
Can my tattoo be completely removed without residue?
The exact composition of your tattoo ink is unknown at the time of removal. The challenge lies in calibrating the laser to the specific composition of your tattoo. Due to the highly variable quality of tattoo inks, a one hundred percent success guarantee for complete tattoo removal can never be provided.
Depth of tattooing, color, and amount of ink also play an important role. Black ink and shallower tattoos with less color content are generally easier to remove.
Is laser removal painful?
The individual laser shots are generally painless. However, with the repetition of laser shots on the ink, a sensation may arise that can be perceived as uncomfortable to painful.
Longer-lasting pulse waves, especially with nanosecond lasers, generate higher temperatures, increasing irritation and the likelihood of experiencing pain. Thanks to the particularly short picoseconds of our laser, the treatment can be conducted as pain-free as possible. Nevertheless, our sensitivity to pain is very individual, and local, burning pain is not uncommon during tattoo removal. -
Immediately after the laser session, the treated tattoo will turn white. This discoloration is called “frosting” and lasts for about 20 minutes. After that, your tattoo will appear in its original color again.
Directly after the treatment or a few hours later, mild bruising, redness, and swelling may occur. Additionally, during the healing phase, fine crusts or blistering may develop. These side reactions are generally harmless and temporary. Typically, complete wound healing occurs within 14 days.
Hypo- or hyperpigmentation are possible side effects that are more likely to occur in darker skin types or if the treated skin area was exposed to strong UV light before or after the laser session. Consistent sun protection after laser treatment is essential.

For optimal results from your treatment, diligent aftercare on your part is a crucial component.
The treated skin area must be kept clean and as friction-free as possible. In the first few days, apply an ointment recommended by us to the affected area, and avoid sports, saunas, baths, tanning beds, and sunbathing during the healing process.
Additionally, there is an increased need for UV protection throughout the entire treatment period. Effective sun protection is essential.
We will discuss the exact aftercare with you and provide you with an information sheet.
